Do I need a referral to book a psychology appointment?
You do not need a referral to attend ADHD diagnosis appointments, however if you are able to get a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP this will entitle you to a Medicare rebate on the sessions you will need to attend for testing.
Is this a bulk billing practice?
Please be advised we are a private billing practice, and do not bulk bill appointments. You are welcome to discuss any payment concerns with your psychologist during your first session.
What is Equine Therapy?
Equine-assisted therapy sessions are a professional and innovative approach to counselling, psychotherapy and mental health that supports clients of all ages in addressing therapeutic goals (emotional, cognitive, behavioural and disability issues, and mental health conditions) with horses as assistants, co-facilitators and teachers in this process.
I have an existing Mental Health Care Plan. Will I get a rebate on sessions?
If you have an existing Mental Health Care Plan that you wish to use to claim a rebate on your session, you may need to visit your GP to have it reissued to Thriving Now.
Once we receive the updated plan, we will contact you regarding and appointment and you will be eligible for a rebate on your sessions.
