Jay Hobbs

Director/ Psychologist

Jay Hobbs is a friendly and compassionate psychologist who loves working with neurodivergent (ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia) children and adults. He has worked as a teacher, education consultant and as a psychologist including running his own psychology clinic since 2017. Jay works with clients to further understand and meet their desired goals using a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach. Jay can support clients with school related issues, anxiety, depression or learning difficulties or with adults to support them with university or work-related challenges. Jay always works with his very smart therapy dog Ellie who helps create a calm, supportive and playful environment. This can include walks in the natural surrounds, throwing the ball or building confidence by teaching Ellie dog tricks.

Jay has a Master of Professional Psychology, A Post Graduate Diploma of Education and conducted research on Neurodiversity and Lego Robotics Social Groups in mainstream schools. Jay is a senior psychologist and Director at Thriving Now.
